Begin your journey into the astounding underwater world by taking a look at the Giant Spider Crab and the Giant Pacific Octopus. These aquatic creatures amaze us with their ability to camouflage themselves with surrounding rocks and other ocean features.
The walk is both fun and adventurous, giving you an opportunity to marvel at all the sharks while learning fascinating facts about them. Three different large interactive screens will present you with facts about all the shark species in the tanks. So why not come and find out just how courageous you really are?
Prepare to see hundreds of clownfish and many more through a spectacle of shimmering colors. Discover the magic at Coral Kingdom at your visit!
Seadragons and Seahorses may sound like mythical creatures but here you can see just how real they are!
In this kingdom, Seahorses grip at seagrass with their curly tails and suck up tiny shrimp with their straw-like snouts. Male seahorses, seadragons, and pipefish are the only male animals to give birth!
On the river predators can appear from any direction, above or below the water; Crocodiles and monster Catfish lurk in the waters red with mud whilst birds of prey and big cats prowl the banks. You’ve got to be tough to make it in this habitat. Many rainforest creatures are big and toothy but sometimes it’s the smallest and most harmless. Looking animals that can pack the deadliest punch!
Penguins are playful! They love to slide down icy patches on their bellies and take turns to dive into the ocean. Did you know their black and white pattern is a form of camouflage? It helps them blend in with the water and keep safe from predators. Penguins are found almost exclusively in the southern hemisphere. They are ‘flightless’ birds but they can soar through the water like a torpedo to catch fish! There are 17 species of penguins but they are running out of food! This is due to over-fishing and global warming.
Immerse yourself in the wonders of the ocean by walking through this magical path surrounded by a variety of sea life including sharks, eagle rays, and schools of fish. Their movements around the tunnel are surreal and represent what you could say is their very own Broadway spectacle! Furthermore, a beautiful display of an icon from a famous Thai myth story will grab your attention just as it has done with countless visitors before.
Rockpools are amazing micro-habitats full of incredible creatures! Are you brave enough to stroke a Sea Anemone, Starfish or Crab? Find out during your visit! Rockpools are made from water left behind when the tide goes out. Lots of different creatures live in these shallow pools – they all need to be tough to adapt to different temperatures and waves crashing overhead!
Be dazzled by our “Tropical Ocean” exploration zone. This gigantic 7-metre-high aquarium gives you a panoramic view of astoundingly beautiful coral and fish species. Information boards are set up to provide you with interesting information about their life cycles as well as the importance of marine preservation efforts.
Take another dive into the deep and submerge yourself in a man-made ship wreck. Watch as various fish species joyously swim around their “Shark Shipwreck”, but don’t get caught off guard by the shark that is sure to be lurking nearby.
Come and check out the ever-so-cute Gentoo Penguins in our “Ice Playground” zone. Whether these adorable creatures are taking a swim or just waddling around, you will be helpless against falling in love with them. Feel like you are visiting the Antarctic yourself with the surrounding snow and cold breezes!
